Sex work and the law: The implementation of the Nordic Model in N. Ireland

9th November 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

In 2015, Northern Ireland adopted the ‘Nordic’, or ‘Criminalisation of the purchase of Sex’ model in regards to sex work.

This is a controversial approach to controlling sex work; and is the subject of some debate. Four years after its implementation, the Department of Justice funded a review of the law.

At this event, the researchers who conducted the review will disseminate their findings. Their presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
